Hi, I'm Andrea
(she/her/hers)

I'm a sex therapist with 18 years experience in the field. While other therapists might be comfortable with sex and sexuality, I am formally educated and trained in these areas. I cultivate a safe, non judgmental space for people to explore their feelings, emotions and challenges. I’m open minded and accepting and hold space for folks to walk paths that they might not feel comfortable walking in other realms. I’m working toward becoming a Certified Sex Therapist with AASECT and committed to the idea of sexual health and sexual autonomy.

I believe that your sexuality is your own. I want to help both individuals and couples/polycules feel comfortable and secure in their sexuality, both individually and within relationships. I’m kink/poly accepting and aware and have extensive experience working with these populations.

If you’re searching for a genuine opportunity to  discover your authentic self, to improve your relationships and to come home to yourself, without judgment, isolation and the pressure of fitting into anyone else’s concept of normal, then you’ve come to the right place.

"The erotic is a measure between the beginnings of our sense of self and the chaos of our strongest feelings. It is an internal sense of satisfaction to which, once we have experienced it, we know we can aspire. For having experienced the fullness of this depth of feeling and recognizing its power, in honor and self-respect we can require no less of ourselves.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I attend therapy?

I typically see clients either weekly or every two weeks to get started. I can help you decide what frequency feels best, however, ultimately you control the frequency of your sessions and the pace of your therapeutic journey.

Once we move out of the active phase of work, it can be helpful to check in every 4-6 weeks as things stabilize. You may terminate therapy or take a break from sessions at any time.

What are your rates?

$130- 50 min individual or couples session

$195- 80 min couples session

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I no longer offer sliding scale or reduced rate options. To find a sliding scale therapist, visit Open Path Collective. To find reduced rate sex therapy services, visit The Cannon Institute

Do you offer a free consultation?

Yes, I offer a free 15-20 minute phone or video call to answer any questions and to determine if the therapeutic relationship is a good fit.

What is your scheduling availability?

I see clients from 9am to 4pm Monday to Thursday. I am not in the office Friday to Sunday.

Do you accept insurance?

I am not an in-network provider and do not work directly with insurance companies. Insurance invoices (also called "superbills") are available upon request and can be used for FSA/HSA accounts and out-of-network coverage. If you submit a superbill to your insurance company, they may reimburse you for a portion of our counseling fees, depending on the mental health coverage of your insurance plan.

What does it mean to be a sex therapist?

While some therapists are open and accepting to talking about sex, sex therapists have engaged in extensive training, which includes attending additional years of both schooling (post Masters) and supervision to become specialists in this field. I am currently enrolled in the Sexual Health Alliance Certified Sex Therapist program and expect my AASECT certification in January 2025.

Does the building have an elevator?

Like many historic buildings in Old Town Fort Collins, the Kissock Building is not equipped with an elevator. If that provides a barrier to services, I can provide virtual sessions and/or offer a secondary location.
